Add to Calendar 2026-09-23T16:00:00 2026-09-23T17:00:00 Astronomy Jamboree! Event Information: The annual Astronomy Jamboree returns on Sept 14/2026! This event, which occurs the week before the first astronomy colloquium of the season, is a showcase of astronomy research at UBC. Students, postdocs, and faculty working in Astronomy and Astrophysics present 55-second 1-slide talks.  This serves to rapidly (in an single session) allow all newcomers (new students and postdocs, visiting faculty) to get a sense of the breadth of research occuring in the department.  Inversely, the group gets a chance to meet all the newcomers. All members of the department are welcome to attend!   The Astronomy group members will have received instructions on how to upload their slide to the shared area.  If you would like to present and did not receive instructions, email gladman@astro.ubc.ca for instructions.
