Graduate Program
Being one of the largest departments within the university, Physics & Astronomy offers a wide range pure and applied research opportunities for students. Each year, our faculty bring over $20 million in research grants, which enables us to maintain world-class research laboratories and computational facilities, attract distinguished post-doctorate researchers, and support highly skilled engineers and technicians whose expertise is critical to our research.
Our strong academic programs are the basis for an extremely active student body. Student societies within the Department of Physics & Astronomy organize lecture series, lab tours, social events, and sport teams. These student-led activities supplement the academic programs and allow students to have a well-rounded experience within Physics & Astronomy.
