Dr. Mona Berciu elected Fellow of American Physical Society
Congratulations to Dr. Mona Berciu, who has been elected as a Fellow of the American Physical Society this year!
The APS Fellowship Program was created to recognize members who may have made advances in physics through original research and publication, or made significant innovative contributions in the application of physics to science and technology. Each year, less than half of one percent of the Society membership is elected, making this a distinguished recognition. This year, 168 Fellows were selected and recognized.
Mona was nominated by APS Division of Condensed Matter Physics and elected:
"For outstanding contributions to the theory of dilute magnetic semiconductors and polarons."
Mona was also awarded the CAP Medal for Excellence in Teaching Undergraduate Physics in 2013.
Congratulations Mona!
