UBC Applied Mathematics Meeting — Register by October 18, 2025

We are excited to invite you to the "UBC Applied Mathematics Meeting" this Fall. It is a one-day conference dedicated to the newly created SIAM Student Chapter at UBC, Vancouver, Canada.

About the event: The conference aims to bring together mathematicians, researchers, and students to exchange ideas, present research, and foster collaborations within the mathematical community. The conference will contain 10-20 minute talks given by both senior and young researchers. The goal of the talks is to have high-level accessible presentations. They should aim to be understandable by an early PhD student, with the stretch goal of all the attendees from varied research backgrounds/departments/career levels to get something out of each presentation.

Themed sessions for the conference are:
- Optimization and machine learning,
- Mathematical biology,
- Mathematical physics,
- Numerical PDEs,
- Applied algebraic geometry.
