Recommended FASmail Filters

UBC-IT recommend people setup the following rules:

Apply this rule after the message arrives
with "[SPAM]" in the message header
move it to the Junk E-mail folder

Other good rules to setup are:

Apply this rule after the message arrives
with "[BULK-EMAIL]" in the message header
move it to the Junk E-mail folder

Apply this rule after the message arrives
with "[SOCIAL-NETWORK]" in the message header
move it to the Junk E-mail folder

This rule is optional depending on whether you mind marketing emails landing in your Inbox:
Apply this rule after the message arrives
with "[MARKETING]" in the message header
move it to the Junk E-mail folder (or setup a Marketing folder)

Be sure to review your Junk E-mail folder periodically in case any legitimate emails are misidentified as spam/phishing and redirected there by mistake.
