She obtained her M.Sc. from Weizmann Institute of Science and B.Sc. from Technion. Adan is passionate about nanofabrication and quantum computing hardware. In her free time, she enjoys Vancouver outdoor activities and cooking. |

| Abdelrahman Afifi (co-supervised with Sudip Shekhar & Lukas Chrostowski) | aeafifi@ece.ubc.ca Abdelrahman Afifi received his B.Sc and M.Sc degrees in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Ain Shams University, Egypt, in 2011 and 2016 respectively. Currently, he is a PhD student in Electrical and Computer Engineering Depart. at the University of British Columbia. His research experience includes fiber optic sensors, microwave photonics and optical coherence domain polarimetry systems. His current research interests include silicon photonics and CMOS circuits for photonic based quantum information processing applications. |
