Communicating scientific work with the public is one of the key roles of researchers. I have been involved in various outreach activities since I started studying physics. UBC Science is committed to supporting outreach programmes targeting the science community and the general public. Canada's particle accelerator centre TRIUMF and UBC Physics and Astronomy sponsor a Saturday morning lecture series for the general public and high school students. Lectures cover various topics in physics including astronomy, particle physics, medical physics and quantum physics etc. I am involved in TRIUMF Saturday Morning Lectures and gave lectures about radio astronomy research.
