The UBC Astronomy Club and the Department of Physics and Astronomy invite you—and your friends and family—to an inspiring night of science, curiosity, and stargazing! Welcome to this month's Science Under the Stars event happening on the last Tuesday of every month! 

*Due to extended daylight hours, we've adjusted this event slightly by moving the start time to 8:00 PM and ending around 10:00 PM: this allows for the sky to be sufficiently dark for observations by approximately 9:00 PM.

Agenda: 

Tour the solar system and beyond as the UBC Astronomy Club's Outreach team explores introductory astronomy topics like planet and galaxy classifications, the fate of the Milky Way, and the cosmic web and Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) in their talk "An Introduction to Astronomy".

And this month we are running our Astro 'Knowledge Bowl' Event! Put your knowledge to the test in this fun astronomy trivia activity for the chance to win a spectacular prize 👀, enjoy snacks and treats, and end the night with an observation session under the stars ✨
