Status of Final Mark Grading:

Exams have been marked.    The results were very close to what I expected.
I have re-read all papers to ensure that the marking was done well
I have taken into account medical and other excuses for missing Homework exams
I submitted the marks to the Head of the Department for approval
I have posted here the marks that you obtained on the final exam and the marks recorded for your homework exams>>>Marks_FinalExam_HW.pdf   Each of the final exam questions count for 10 marks; each of the HW exams for 40 marks.
I have posted here the solution to the final exam together with the marking distribution: FinalExam2006.pdf
To estimate your RAW final mark, remember that the final exam counts for 65% and the homework exams for 35%.    Your final mark will higher than the RAW mark for various reasons.
I expect approval from the Head of the Department  this morning (Thursday, December 21st); thus, I plan to  press the electronic button that sends the marks to the Registrar's Office later today.    You should be able to read the marks in the Student Services Webpage, immediately after I send them to the Registrar.
If you have a concern, I am always as close as email parsons@phas.ubc.ca and around the department most of the time in the new year (but, you should make an appointment).
See you in the new year.
