Quantum Information in Quantum Gravity III

August 14 to 18, 2017 at UBC, Vancouver, Canada

Rationale

The workshop is aimed at facilitating discussion on applying information theoretic concepts to tackle quantum gravity conundrums. In recent years we have seen an increasing interplay between the quantum information and the string/quantum gravity communities and we aim to facilitate further interaction in this front. We plan to have a a few talks per day with lots of time for discussions.

Practical information

The workshop will be held in the University of British Columbia, Vancouver campus. Other useful details:

Location of Talks: Earth Sciences Building (ESB) room 1012 - see annotated MAP
Conference Beach Walk: Wednesday after the talks. You may wish to bring a picnic dinner (or buy food at the concession). The water is swimmable.
Conference Dinner: the conference dinner will be at Sage Bistro on Thursday at 6pm.
Lunch: There are various food options in the AMS Nest, or at the University Village - see annotated MAP
Coffee Breaks: we will have two coffee breaks between the talks in the morning and afternoon respectively.
Wireless Internet: connect to UBC Visitor (available throughout campus)

There is no registration fee, but interested participants should contact mav@phas.ubc.ca indicating their interest. We may have to restrict attendance based on space constraints.
