See how gravity changes our view of the surface of a neutron star. Experiment with the properties of the spacetime around a neutron star by dragging the mouse. Horizontal movements change the radius of the neutron star. Vertical movements change its gravitational mass.

The gravitational field surrounding the neutron star is described by the Schwarzschild metric which neglects the rotation of the neutron star.

A slower running version of this Applet is available here. The slower version is more robust when run under Netscape.
