Mona Berciu received her B.Sc. in Physics from University of Bucharest, Romania. She did her M.Sc. and Ph.D. at University of Toronto, in theoretical condensed matter. This was followed by a two year postdoctoral appointment at Princeton University, after which she came to UBC in 2002, as an assistant professor.
