  Doris Tang, EIT, CEM
Systems Engineer, Team Leader
Pulse Energy

After graduating from Engineering Physics at UBC and completing the FWE (Forum for Women Entrepreneurs) student program, Doris spent time traveling, as well as volunteering with a micro-finance organization in Guatemala. Wanting to use her engineering skills in an area that aligned with her values, Doris sought a career in renewables and alternative energy upon her return to Canada. She first began working as a Systems Engineer at Plug Power creating and supporting the implementation of a fuel-cell based battery replacement technology, but currently leads the Systems team at Pulse Energy (www.pulseenergy.com), a young and rapidly growing company developing energy management software to enable occupants, operators and owners to improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and save money.

Consistently looking for ways to contribute to a more equitable and sustainable world, Doris is an active member of Engineers Without Borders (Canada) and has been involved with the Vancouver Professional Chapter in various capacities including President.
