Postdoctoral Position at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver



The UBC Center for Research on Ultra-Cold Systems (CRUCS) and the Department of Physics and Astronomy and the Department of Chemistry invites applications for Postdoctoral Research Associates with expertise in the fields of experimental and/or theoretical atomic, molecular, and optical physics (AMO). The selected candidates will closely interact with Profs. Kirk W. Madison, Takamasa Momose, Valery Milner, Roman Krems, and Moshe Shapiro as well as with other active experimental and theoretical groups in CRUCS. The annual stipend is $50,000 CAD plus a travel and research allowance of $4,000 over two years. The Funding is contingent on the candidate being awarded a UBC Killam Postdoctoral Research Fellowship.

STARTING DATE: Fellowships starting in the 2013-14 cycle may not begin earlier than May 1, 2013 and no later than January 2, 2014. Most fellowships commence between May and October.
