Servo Motors
• How they work? The motor shaft is connected to the
potentiometer. The average voltage of the PWM signal is
compared to the voltage set by the potentiometer and the
difference drives the motor.
• Angular range approximately 0° - 180°
• Control:
o
PWM
signal with a constant period of 10ms
o
Duty
cycle (the time of the high voltage),
which controls the angle approximately 0.3 ms (0°) to 2.5 ms (180°)

Color
code of the wires:
o
Red:+5V,
black: ground, white: PWM (0 to 5V)
• Resolution: depends on the duty cycle resolution, use
concatenated PWM channels! Make sure that the number inthe period register is
as high as possible!
