Jericho Beach

Jericho Beach is a 10 minute walk downhill from our home. From this point and westward, the beaches are all joined together by foot & bicycle paths (Jericho Beach, Locarno Beach, Spanish Banks East Beach, Spanish Banks West Beach, Spanish Banks Extension Beach, then continuing along the beach only (no paths) to Wreck Beach.
	Jericho Beach features a very large greenspace. It is also the location of the annual Vancouver Folk Festival.
Wide open spaces abound.
	Ponds add to the outdoor feeling of this area.

Locarno Beach

Locarno Beach is located just West of Jericho Beach (the beaches meet at Trimble. Our home is at 9th and Trimble, 9 blocks up from this beach.)
	Looking West along Locarno beach, Spanish Banks is in the distance.
The Jericho Sailing Club, between Jericho and Locarno Beaches. You can rent kayaks, windsurfers and sailboats and I think even rowboats here from various affiliated clubs and organizations: Clubs at Jericho and Ecomarine.
