Quantum Anomalies and Topological Currents in Dense Matter

Abstract:
We derive an anomalous effective Lagrangian
describing the interactions of light particles such as axions, photons and superfluid phonons in the dense matter background. This effective Lagrangian, among other things,
imlies that some nontrivial persistent non dissipating currents and charge densities may be formed in the dense matter. We speculate that these effects may influence such phenomena as neutron star kicks, glitches,
