Applicants are invited for a Research Associate position at the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver, Canada, starting July 2013.
Applications are invited for a Research Associate position in the groups of Prof. David J. Jones and Andrea Damascelli at the University of British Columbia. We are pursuing a research program of XUV laser development, photoemission spectroscopy and XUV spectroscopy. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience in ultrafast lasers development, XUV science, ultra high vacuum technology, electronic circuit feedback design and implementation, and precision spectroscopy. Experience with femtosecond enhancement cavities is also a requirement for the position. The successful applicant is expected to take a leading role in our XUV precision spectroscopy project and photoemission spectroscopy research. Other major responsibilities include supervising graduate students and postdoctoral researchers.
