JMP Software for Instructors, Students, & Researchers
JMP has made changes to their licensing to allow for the following to use for free.
- JMP is the data analysis tool of choice that scientists and engineers rely on for powerful analytic capabilities and dynamic statistical discovery.
- Qualified students, instructors, and academic researchers must be enrolled at, or an employee of, a degree-granting institution to get access and use JMP® Student Edition.
- Accepted use includes course use by instructors and students and research projects related to degree requirements. Academic researcher use is limited to research that will be published in a journal, presented at an academic conference, or shared for the public good.
- The creation of a free My JMP account is essential to access the software, get new versions, and renew the license. Using an academic email address is recommended to streamline verification.
- Rest assured that the JMP Student Edition is fully featured and based on JMP Pro with no limitations on data size or capability

- Can be deployed on university computers and labs
- JMP® Student Edition requires the following information: University name, course name or research field, user name, e-mail, city, state, zip code, and country.
Please note that JMP® Student Edition is renewable every 12 months at no cost, provided the user remains qualified as an academic user and can verify eligibility.
