CM Seminar: Magic Angle Twisted Bilayer Graphene

Event Start:
2019-03-14T14:00:00
Event End:
2019-03-14T15:30:00
Event Information:

Magic Angle Twisted Bilayer Graphene (MATBG) is a remarkably tunable and relatively simple strongly correlated electron system, with its own set of specific peculiarities.  My talk will focus on similarities and differences between the interaction physics of flat-band moirĂ© superlattices MATBG and transition metal dichalcogenide bilayers which simulate Hubbard model physics

Event Location:
BRIM 311
Speaker:
Allan H. MacDonald,
Physics Department, University of Texas at Austin
